Addis Ababa, August 2025 – Africa’s leading clean transport event, Africa E-Mobility Week 2025 (AEW2025), will take place from 14 to 16 October 2025 at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Organized by the Africa E-Mobility Alliance (AfEMA) in partnership with the Ethiopian Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the event is expected to bring together over 500 in-person participants and 1,000+ virtual delegates, including policymakers, investors, innovators, and industry leaders.
This year’s theme will focus on accelerating inclusive and sustainable transport across Africa, with discussions around policy and regulation, financing and infrastructure, local innovation, and a just transition. The programme will feature the Africa E-Mobility Forum, an EV Expo, industry tours, and an accelerator stage showcasing Africa’s top startups in the sector.
Participants will also benefit from investor deal rooms and a Top 50 E-Mobility Companies Deal Book, designed to link innovators with funding opportunities.
Speaking ahead of the event, organizers noted that AEW2025 would be a unique platform to “shape a continental e-mobility agenda, showcase African innovation, and mobilize capital to drive clean mobility solutions.”
The event builds on the success of AEW2024, which produced strategic collaborations such as the Charge Africa MOU, aligning stakeholders to scale charging infrastructure across the continent.
