Electrify The West - Western Kenya EV Roadshow

Nairobi, August 23, 2025 – Western Kenya played host to one of the country’s most ambitious electric mobility campaigns as E-Cars 254 announced the launch of the “Electrify The West – Western Kenya EV Roadshow & Clean Mobility Awareness Expedition.”
The five-day expedition, running from August 18 to 22, 2025, covered over 1,000 kilometres, starting and ending in Nairobi. The roadshow passed through key towns including Nakuru, Eldoret, Kitale, Bungoma, Webuye, Busia, Kakamega, Kisumu, Kericho, Molo, and Njoro, before returning to the capital.
Organizers said the initiative was designed to raise public awareness about clean mobility solutions and demonstrate the readiness of electric vehicles (EVs) to handle long-distance travel across diverse terrains in Kenya.
The roadshow's partners, included BYD, LOXEA, Ecotrify, BEV, Kenya Power, and AutoPAX. Together, the stakeholders showcased the potential of EVs, highlight charging infrastructure developments, and engage with local communities along the route.
By taking clean mobility conversations directly to towns across western Kenya, organisers said the roadshow not only strengthen awareness but also encourage adoption of EVs in regions beyond Nairobi, where most demonstrations have traditionally been concentrated.
